1. Name: Trey Bourelle
2. Where are you from and where did you grow up? Mellette born and raised.
3. Describe your high school experience: Grew up with green and gold in my veins. Played football and basketball as a wildcat since preschool
4. From where did you graduate from college and with what degree(s)? Briefly attended University of Minnesota Morris with ambitions of a degree in elementary education while playing football.
5. What do you teach/coach/lead at Northwestern? I am an assistant coach of the football team.
6. How long have you been here? This is my first year as a coach at Northwestern.
7. When did you realize you wanted to become a teacher/para/admin/business manager/etc.? I’ve been able to deal with kids of all ages since I was young. Making a positive impact on them is my biggest goal.
8. What is rewarding about your job? The reward of coaching the sport I grew up playing is being a part of pushing kids to be their best selves and develop a good work ethic towards whatever goals they set for themselves. Seeing the light in their eyes when they achieve a goal is the most proud and accomplished feeling.
9. If you could have any other job what would it be? Outside of coaching and perhaps teaching, maybe a therapist.
10. Who is your biggest role model? My biggest role model is my Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
11. What are your hobbies? Some hobbies of mine consist of bowfishing, hiking, weightlifting, and basketball.
12. Where do you see yourself in ten years? That is unclear at the moment but I would like to still be coaching football.
13. If you could live anywhere else, where? Montana or Wyoming, where there’s mountains.
14. What type of music do you listen to? Country and Christian music.
15. What food is like a guilty pleasure to you? A well-made, rare, juicy, all the toppings cheeseburger with a toasted bun.
16. Last book you read? The Bible
17. Who would play the lead in a movie about your life? I have no clue.
18. What super power do you wish you had? The only thing I can think of is my guy Superman and the example he sets.
19. Biggest pet peeve? When people sneeze twice in a row or someone touches the door while I hold it open for them.
20. What advice do you have for the students of Northwestern? Live life but don’t make excuses to live it unreasonably and without sense. We only live once but we should prepare for eternity more carefully.
